Yakutsk to finalize approximately 20 contracts during the Pacific Mercantile & Maritime Exposition, as per Aysen Nikolayev's announcement.

On Monday, June 16, during the "Direct Talk with Aisen Nikolaev" show on GTRK "Sakha," the leader of Yakutia indicated that the Republic plans to sign around 20 agreements at the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Aisen Nikolaev stated, "This forum, alongside the Eastern [Economic Forum], is one of our country's significant events for Yakutia. Each year, we pen several key agreements. This time, counting at my level, we're eyeing about 20, ranging from interregional to agreements with bigwigs like Gazprom. Naturally, all objectives are geared towards one goal—the development of our republic. It's always been this way, and it remains so," he added.

Last year, SPIEF boasted a participation of 21,800 individuals from 139 countries and territories, with a combined 1,073 agreements sealed worth over 6.4 trillion rubles. Yakutia netted 14 agreements, approximating 40 billion rubles. The 2025 SPIEF will transpire from June 18-21.

SPIEF-2025's central theme is "Shared Values: The Foundation of Growth in a Multipolar World," with a focus on identifying shared values in a turbulent global climate, redefining models of cooperation, and establishing foundations for sustainable development. Key areas include escalating economic autonomy, fortifying national financial systems, and resisting sanctions pressure[1][2].

Considering Yakutia's economic and geographical context, potential deals at SPIEF may centre around investment in natural resources, infrastructure development, energy and minerals projects, and fostering international cooperation. For further insights into the 20 specific agreements Yakutia intends to sign, please refer to official announcements or press releases from Yakutia's government or SPIEF organizers.

In alignment with Aisen Nikolaev's statement, it's anticipated that Yakutia will sign around 20 agreements in the realms of industry, finance, and business during the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), as the forum offers opportunities for interregional and strategic agreements with key players like Gazprom. Given the emphasis on economic autonomy and national financial systems in the multipolar world context of SPIEF-2025, possible deals may involve investments in natural resources, infrastructure development, energy and minerals projects, and promoting international cooperation.
