WYDOT and S&L Industrial Begin Thermoplastic Marking Project in Sheridan

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and its contractor, S&L Industrial, have commenced a project to apply durable, highly reflective thermoplastic markings on major roads in Sheridan, starting from the week of August 4, 2025.

The work, which primarily takes place at night to minimise traffic disruption, involves striping key intersections and roads. The first locations to be striped are the intersection of Coffeen Avenue and Sugarland Drive on August 4 and 5, and Coffeen Avenue with an unspecified location close to Sheridan around the same timeframe.

Further details about additional locations have not been provided explicitly, but the project encompasses various areas in Sheridan.

The project schedule is subject to weather conditions and the availability of materials and equipment. Nighttime lane closures may occur at the specified locations during the project, and dust and debris may be present during the grinding process.

In work zones, it is advisable to avoid distractions such as cell phones for safety reasons. The striping of North Main Street and 5th Street is scheduled for August 8th, while Coffeen Avenue and Brundage Lane will be striped from August 12th to August 14th.

The striping project on Coffeen Avenue and Sugarland Drive is also weather dependent. As of now, no new locations for striping have been mentioned in this project.
