In the county of Offenbach, the unemployment rate has climbed to 5.3 percent. The city of Offenbach, in particular, has seen a significant rise, with an unemployment rate of 9.1 percent. The lack of dynamism after the vacation and cautious hiring behavior of companies are contributing factors to this trend.

In the Hamburg region, unemployment in August 2024 stood at 11.4 percent, an increase of 3,484 compared to the previous year. However, there was a slight decline from July to August 2024, with 34,514 people registered as unemployed.
