Ukraine Unveils Long-Range RK-360L Cruise Missile
Ukraine has revealed its latest long-range cruise missile, the RK-360L, designed for extended operations over land and sea. The missile, manufactured by Ukraine's Luch Design Bureau, incorporates new features and boasts an impressive range.
The RK-360L measures six meters in length and has a body diameter of roughly 50 centimeters. It is a significant upgrade from the Neptune missile family, which first entered service as an anti-ship weapon and gained international attention after being used to sink Russia's Black Sea flagship, the Moskva.
The RK-360L has a declared range of 1,000 kilometers, a substantial increase from the Neptune's 280-kilometer range. This enhanced range allows for low-altitude flight and precision strikes on fixed targets over land. The missile retains its capability to strike both land and maritime targets, making it a versatile addition to Ukraine's arsenal.
The RK-360L also features an expanded warhead weight, increased from 150 kilograms to 260 kilograms. This larger warhead enables the missile to cause more significant damage to its targets.
Ukraine's disclosure of the RK-360L's official specifications highlights the country's ongoing efforts to strengthen its military capabilities. The RK-360L's extended range, enhanced warhead, and improved features make it a formidable addition to Ukraine's arsenal, capable of striking targets at greater distances and with increased precision.
