Troisdorf Road Closures: Essential Infrastructure Upgrades Ahead
Troisdorf residents should expect road closures and detours over the next few months as the city undertakes essential infrastructure upgrades. Starting this month, several key streets will see work on water transport and power supply lines.
Firstly, Schützenstraße and Magdalenenstraße in Troisdorf-Oberlar will have their water transport and power supply lines renewed. This work begins on October 13 and is expected to finish by February 2026. Meanwhile, Fritz-Erler-Straße in Troisdorf-Friedrich-Wilhelms-Hütte has a full lane closure extended until September 26 for canal house connections.
From September 29 to October 10, Köln Street 116a in Troisdorf-Mitte will also have a full lane closure for utility line relocation. In Troisdorf-Spich, Finkenweg (House No. 3) will have a full lane closure from September 10 to 26 for house connection work. Additionally, Reichensteinstraße, between Bussardweg and Offenbachstraße in Troisdorf-Kriegsdorf, will have full lane closures in several phases from September 29 to October 31 for canal connection line renewal.
These closures are part of a larger project to upgrade water pipelines and electricity supplies in Troisdorf, particularly in the Sieglar district and parts of the city center. Local authorities will announce periodic closures and detours as needed. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and expect delays.
