Tuesday, June 17, 2025, hosted the Mobility and Traffic Area Committee of Bergisch Gladbach in their regular meeting. The agenda consisted of groundbreaking proposals for infrastructure and traffic projects, such as road and sidewalk renovations, as well as improved public transportation.
However, the meeting was interrupted, forcing discussions to continue under restricted conditions. The focus was limited to information and resolution proposals for the S11 moving forward.
Deets on the Delay
More items on the agenda included proposals for:
- Preliminary planning of Paffrather Street
- Expansion of Dr.-Robert-Koch-Straße (emergency vehicle access, sidewalk)
- Leverkusen Street renovation with barrier-free bus stop expansion
- Barrier-free bus stop expansion at Schlodderdicher Weg
- Renovations at the Schulstraße "KGS In der Auen"
First Deputy Mayor, Ragnar Migenda, underscored the urgency of implementing these resolutions promptly. Delaying them further would significantly push back vital infrastructure projects for the upcoming years. Fortunately, the factions have agreed to reconvene on Thursday, July 10, in the historic town hall's large council chamber, boosting hopes for a smooth decision-making process for the sake of the community.
