Trains bound for Crimea reached their ultimate stops

In the past few days, there has been some good news for passengers planning to travel to or from Crimea, as one train has been reinstated into the schedule, according to Grand Service Express (GSE). However, six trains are still experiencing delays due to a combination of heavy traffic congestion at key checkpoints, such as the Crimean Bridge, and operational challenges caused by security incidents in the region.

Currently, two trains heading towards Crimea are not reported as delayed, providing some relief for travellers. Among the delayed trains, Train No092 Moscow - Sevastopol, departure on 31st July, has a delay of 3 hours, while Train No183 Murmansk - Sevastopol is facing a delay of 6.5 hours.

On the positive side, four trains that were previously delayed have reached their destinations, including Train No316 Adler - Simferopol, which departed on 1st August. Similarly, Train No163 Moscow - Feodosia, which was scheduled to depart on 31st July, has also reached its destination, as stated in the report.

Unfortunately, no train from Sevastopol has been reintegrated into the schedule yet, as previously reported. Passengers are advised to check the latest updates before planning their journey.

Despite the ongoing delays, GSE is taking steps to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers. They are providing drinking water and meals, prioritising children and passengers with limited mobility.

The delays are partly due to the congested queues on the Crimean Bridge, where 2,705 vehicles were waiting for passage, causing significant traffic and transport interruptions. Additionally, ongoing security incidents, such as drone attacks on railway infrastructure in the Rostov region and partisan sabotage of railway lines in occupied Crimea, have contributed to the operational challenges faced by GSE.

In light of these circumstances, travellers are encouraged to plan their journeys with extra time to account for potential delays and to stay informed about the latest updates from GSE. The situation remains subject to change, and passengers are advised to check the official GSE website or contact the customer service for the most current information.
