Trade Union Ettlinger Appoints New Leader
The Ettlingen Chamber of Commerce, a vibrant hub for local businesses, recently saw a change in leadership. Claus Vater was elected as the new chairperson in a unanimous decision, succeeding Martina Stoppanski-Auracher who stepped down from the position.
Rolf Kehrbeck and Christian Rissel, respectively, were re-elected as chairperson and chairperson of the trade group, maintaining their roles in the organisation. Rainer Iben will take over the position of secretary.
The current membership of the Ettlingen Chamber of Commerce stands at around 110 members, while its counterpart, Gewerbeverein Bruchhausen, boasts around 40 members. However, low attendance at events, such as the annual general meeting, remains a recurring issue, with only 15 members, including Bruchhausen, attending the recent meeting.
Marion Eble, the outgoing treasurer, highlighted the New Year's reception as a significant cost factor, with the most recent one costing over 4,000 euros. As a result, the Ettlingen Chamber of Commerce is considering the organisation of the reception more carefully, and discussions are underway to present themselves more effectively to the public.
Werner Kehrbeck suggested including specific thematic trade fairs in the future considerations of the Ettlingen Chamber of Commerce. Claus Vater, who is no stranger to the association, having previously held the position of secretary in the executive board, intends to continue the Night of Commerce.
As the new chairperson, Claus Vater is committed to addressing the challenges faced by the Ettlingen Chamber of Commerce, and is looking forward to working with the team to develop new strategies and activities for the betterment of the local business community. The Ettlingen Chamber of Commerce is open to new ideas and invites all members to participate in the decision-making process.
