Thirty-six nations have announced their involvement in the World Economic Forum

The 10th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), taking place from September 3-6 in Vladivostok at the Far Eastern Federal University, is set to bring together approximately 6,000 participants from 36 countries and territories, including representatives from China, India, Thailand, Myanmar, and ASEAN nations.

This year's forum, themed "The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity," continues to reinforce the role of the EEF as a transit territory for the markets of Russia and the Asia-Pacific region. Yuri Trutnev, the Russian Federation's Presidential Envoy to the Far East Federal District, stated that the EEF provides impetus for the development of the Far East, with the high level of interest from partners indicating a desire for an equal and mutually beneficial dialogue with Russia.

One of the key highlights of EEFS-2025 is the series of business dialogues with the aforementioned countries. These dialogues focus on fostering purposeful engagement to advance sustainable and equitable business relationships. The aim is to create deliberate, commercially viable connections that emphasize resilience, regional equity, and sustainable transformation, particularly in sectors like tourism and trade.

The expected outcomes of these dialogues include establishing targeted, pre-qualified business contacts, promoting purpose-led cooperation, encouraging long-term partnerships, and supporting value-driven dialogue that incorporates sustainable innovation and impact-focused strategies in regional trade and investment.

In addition, the EEF-2025 will host an international APEC conference on cooperation in higher education. The Far East is experiencing the creation of new enterprises, airports, and jobs, with new investment projects, special economic zones, the 'Far Eastern Hectare' program, preferential mortgage, and city development master plans having been launched in the region.

An advisor to the Russian President is confident that the forum will help create a fair international cooperation system. This approach mirrors frameworks seen in similar events such as Essence of Africa 2025, which prioritizes sustainability as an operational standard and balances profitability with social and environmental responsibility, ensuring interactions are not only commercially effective but also purposeful.
