In the heart of Russia, Yekaterinburg played host to the annual "Entrepreneur of the Year" awards, a celebration of local business success and innovation. Organised by the city administration and the Yekaterinburg Center for Entrepreneurship Development, this year's event took place at the SINARA Center.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of influential figures such as Igor Chernogolov, Alexander Porodnov, Sergey Druzhin, and many others. The event also saw the presentation of a new business-class sedan by AMK-Chery, adding an extra touch of glamour to the occasion.

The competition, which involved representatives from small businesses, was divided into 11 categories, with 9 industry-specific and 2 special ones. Winners included Aliya Vladimirova, who was named the best self-employed person for her work on "Valis Trikootnaya Masterskaya". Polina Sharova, the owner of "Gerkes-Ural", received the "Editor's Choice" award.

Several family businesses also shone, with Polina Sharova, Fler Zinchuk, and Artem Mirnov among the winners. The "World of Fabrics" store network triumphed in the "Retail Enterprise" category, while "Wide-Awake Eye", a project specialising in designing security and video surveillance systems, won in the "IT Business" category.

The "HORECA: Hotels" category was won by "Ekaterinburg-Management", which manages the Novotel hotel. In the "HORECA: Restaurants and Cafes" category, "Rest-Servis" owned by Yevgeniya Levandovskaya, known for projects like "King Kong Pizza" and "Mr. Chang", emerged victorious.

The "Industrial Business" category was won by "Hermes-Ural", a company that produces storage equipment. "Ecopribor-Service", a company specialising in engineering and technical maintenance of complex analytical equipment, triumphed in the "Business Services" category.

The "People's Choice" award was a hotly contested category, with "Management Company M1", led by Olesya Malysheva, taking the top spot with 3.1 thousand votes. Almost 20 thousand citizens participated in the voting.

The "Breakthrough of the Year" category was won by Artem Myronov's project - the Quokka merchandise ecosystem. The competition's winners were chosen according to the materials provided by DK.RU.
