Tesla boosts Cybertruck discounts on inventory to surpass $16,000 in Canada and over $11,000 in the United States.
Tesla Announces Discounts on Cybertruck Inventory in the U.S. and Canada
As of August 2025, Tesla is offering discounts and incentives for the Cybertruck in the United States and Canada. However, the extent of these discounts varies between the two countries.
In the U.S., Cybertruck buyers can benefit from several perks. Leasing inventory units comes with a free 20” Cyber Wheel Upgrade with All-Terrain Tires, valued at $3,500. Additionally, there is 0% APR financing for 60 months with Full Self-Driving (FSD) or low APR financing without FSD (2.49% for 60 months) on new purchases. A free 30-day trial of Full Self-Driving is also included with new Tesla orders.
However, there are no explicit dollar-off discounts on Cybertruck base prices reported in the U.S. The new Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant is priced at US$62,490 after applying the US$7,500 federal EV tax credit. The All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Foundation Series Cybertruck is discounted by up to US$11,990, while the Non-Foundation Series models receive discounts up to US$10,550.
In contrast, the price of the Cybertruck has increased significantly since its original announcement. The base price of the Cybertruck is now approximately $70,000, an increase of about $30,000 compared to the original $40,000 promised in 2019. The top-end “Cyberbeast” trim has increased by $15,000 to $115,000.
Canada lacks explicit Cybertruck discounts but offers free Supercharging incentives on other models. Tesla first applied discounts to the Cybertruck in Canada in February, equating to 5% discounts. More recently, the discounts have been increased to 10%. The discounted price for an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Foundation Series Cybertruck in Canada is now as low as C$124,200, while the Cyberbeast trim is discounted by up to C$16,590, making it C$149,400.
Regarding additional perks, buyers in both countries receive free lifetime Supercharging for the Foundation Series Cybertruck. In Canada, this also extends to other models with Model 3 inventory.
| Aspect | United States | Canada | Original Price vs. Current Price | |--------------------------|------------------------------------------------|-----------------------------------------|-------------------------------------------| | Cybertruck price | Starts around $70,000 (base), up to $115,000 (top trim) | No direct discounts detailed | Originally promised $40,000 base, $70,000 top trim; now base +$30k, top +$45k | | Discounts/Incentives | Free 20” wheels + tires ($3,500) on leases; low APR financing; free 30-day FSD trial | 10% discount on Cybertruck inventory | N/A | | Additional perks | Financing options; FSD trial | Free lifetime Supercharging (Model 3 only) | N/A |
In conclusion, while Tesla offers financing incentives and some freebies in the U.S., Cybertruck prices have substantially increased compared to initial announcements. Buyers in both countries face prices noticeably higher than the original Cybertruck launch promises.
