TenneT Begins Route Surveys for New 380-kV Overhead Line in Wolfenbüttel
TenneT TSO GmbH is set to begin route surveys in Wolfenbüttel city area from October 27, lasting until the end of April next year. The surveys aim to gather geographical data for the approval procedure of a new 380-kV overhead line project from Helmstedt/Ost to Bleckenstedt/Süd substation. Private property owners should expect some impact, with potential multiple entries onto their plots.
The surveys, conducted during the day from Monday to Friday, will involve drives and inspections on private properties. Owners must allow these necessary route surveys according to § 44 paragraph 1 of the Energy Industry Act (EnWG). The data collected will include slopes, inclinations, obstacles, vegetation, road widths, heights, traffic restrictions, and conditions. Damages occurring during preparatory work will be repaired or fully compensated by the party responsible, typically the contractor or worker, under the German Civil Code (BGB). Liability is personal, unless covered by insurance such as private liability or building insurance.
TenneT TSO GmbH's surveys will continue until the end of April, impacting some private properties in Wolfenbüttel. Damages will be addressed by the responsible party, ensuring minimal disruption to property owners during this necessary process for the new 380-kV overhead line project.
