Lenin Street, one of the main transportation arteries in the city's central part, is currently undergoing significant capital repairs. The project, scheduled to last from May 17 to August 31, is aimed at significantly improving infrastructure and enhancing urban comfort.

Anatoly Bankov, Deputy Head of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky City District Administration, reported on the progress of the repairs. According to his report, five specialized teams are working on Lenin Street. These teams are responsible for laying stormwater drainage, installing manholes, and laying pipes.

Electricians are installing communication line manholes, laying communication and outdoor lighting cables, and setting foundations for lighting poles on Lenin Street. Another team is installing curb stones. The most active phase of road surface replacement is yet to come.

The repairs are taking place on two key sections of Lenin Street: from the Fleet Officers' House (DOF) to the intersection of Soviet and Lenin Streets, and further towards the Drama Theatre. Traffic will be maintained on Soviet Street in two lanes during the repairs on Lenin Street.

Tentatively, in mid-June, after completing all preparatory stages, builders will start removing unsuitable soil and laying new roadbed on Lenin Street. After the stormwater drainage and lighting are installed, road works will begin.
