SPB Hospitality Names G.J. Hart as New CEO Amidst Portfolio Reshaping
SPB Hospitality, the parent company of Krystal and Logan's Roadhouse, has announced a new leader. G.J. Hart takes over from Josh Kern, who is stepping down to pursue another role in the industry. Hart assumes the position of CEO and chairman at a crucial time for the company, which now boasts eight concepts across over 450 locations.
Hart brings a wealth of experience to SPB Hospitality, having previously served as CEO at Red Robin, Torchy's Tacos, California Pizza Kitchen, and Texas Roadhouse. He is also an operating partner with SPB's owner, Fortress Investment Group. Prior to his appointment, Hart's role at SPB was that of an operating partner.
SPB Hospitality has been actively reshaping its portfolio in recent years. The company has sold off Old Chicago Pizza and a group of brewery concepts, and acquired a pair of Jose Garces restaurants. These strategic moves reflect the company's commitment to growth and diversification.
G.J. Hart takes the helm at SPB Hospitality, aiming to build on the company's momentum and guide it into its next phase. With his extensive experience and the company's recent portfolio reshaping, SPB Hospitality looks set to continue its growth trajectory.
