Showcasing Sustainability's Future: The Neusser Emblem of Sustainability

The city of Neuss is set to honour companies that are making significant contributions towards climate neutrality with the Neusser Future Seal. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 6 pm, in the Garden Hall of the Clemens Sels Museum Neuss.

Participating companies will have the opportunity to showcase their sustainable commitment to customers, partners, and the public, and encourage other actors to engage in similar initiatives. The Neusser Future Seal competition offers benefits not only for companies but also for their employees and public image.

To be eligible, companies based in Neuss must have implemented or initiated specific measures or projects in the area of ecological sustainability. The application process is intentionally kept lean, and interested companies can apply by filling out an online registration form available on the city's official website.

The application requires companies to provide insights into their specific measures or projects, and these will be evaluated by a jury consisting of experts from three fields: FernUniversität in Hagen, Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V., and the Department of Environment, Climate, and Sports of the city of Neuss. The Mayor of Neuss, Reiner Breuer, will also be present at the award ceremony.

Suitable projects for the Neusser Future Seal include reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, measures to protect biodiversity, energy efficiency and use of renewable energies, innovative solutions for waste prevention and environmental pollution, and greening of company grounds or resource-saving processes.
