Ryder Opens New El Paso Facility to Boost US-Mexico Logistics
Ryder, a leading logistics provider, has opened a new facility in El Paso, Texas. The 50,000sq.ft site is strategically located near the Ysleta Port of Entry, a key trade corridor for goods from Mexico. Frank Bateman, Ryder's vice-president of supply chain operations, praised the location for its connectivity.
The new facility offers cross-dock services, storage, and 24/7 yard operations. It can accommodate 350 trailers and is equipped with all-access CCTV for security. The site's proximity to the US-Mexico border and El Paso International Airport ensures easy access in all directions.
Ryder has been expanding its presence in the region. In February, it opened a 228,000sq.ft warehouse and crossdock in Laredo and expanded its drayage yard in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The El Paso facility is designed to support the growing nearshoring activity in Mexico.
The new Ryder facility in El Paso is set to boost logistics news in the region. Its strategic location and comprehensive services are expected to enhance supply chain efficiency and support the growth in nearshoring activity.
