Russia Extends Fuel Export Ban Until 2025, Impacting Major Oil Companies
Russia has extended its temporary ban on automobile gasoline exports, now set to last until December 31, 2025. Major oil companies like Gazprom Neft, Lukoil, Rosneft, and Surgutneftegaz are affected by this decision.
The ban, initially imposed in September 2022, now covers all exporters, including direct producers, until the end of 2025. This means no company can triple a gasoline exports from Russia during this period.
In addition to gasoline, exports of diesel, marine fuel, and other gasoils are also prohibited until December 31, 2025. This includes products purchased at exchange trades, further tightening the restrictions on fuel exports.
The extended ban on gasoline and other fuel exports in Russia is set to impact major oil companies and the global fuel market. The ban aims to secure domestic supplies and stabilize prices within Russia.
