Rural Support Initiatives
The Local Action Group Landkreis Landshut held its annual general meeting on August 5, 2025, where it announced the approval of funding for 18 projects in the current funding period.
Since September 2023, these projects have been selected by the decision-making body. The approved projects cover a wide range of areas, with a focus on climate and environmental protection as the remaining budget will be used primarily to fund projects contributing to this development goal (number 11).
The Local Action Group, led by Landrat Peter Dreier and LAG manager Karoline Bartha, reported on the activities and projects of the association for the funding period 2014-2022 and the current funding period 2023-2027. The past year included three meetings of the LAG decision-making body, seven project selections, project inspections in Ergoldsbach, and intensive public relations work (number 13).
The remaining budget of around 239,000 euros will be used to fund new projects. Ideas for small projects can be submitted until 20.10.2025, and project descriptions for regular LEADER projects until 24.10.2025 (number 5 & 6). All project and measure carriers are recommended to contact the LAG business office before submitting documents (number 7).
The calls for project descriptions and applications for the "Supporting Citizen Engagement" project (so-called LEADER small projects) have been published on the LAG homepage (number 8). The LAG decision-making body will decide on the submitted project proposals at its next meeting on 12.11.2025 (number 12).
Auditors Christine Attenkofer and Gerhard Babl confirmed proper cash management, while the treasurer Armin Reiseck informed about the income and expenditure of the association in the calendar year 2024 (number 9 & 10).
Network work was also part of the activities, including participation in meetings of the Lower Bavarian LAG managers, the LEADER Accompaniment Circle Bavaria, and the two ILE alliances located in the LAG area (number 14). Further information about LAG Landkreis Landshut and funding opportunities can be found at www.region.landshut.de (LEADER).
The general meeting unanimously voted to discharge the board, decision-making body, and management. A group photo was taken with the project carriers whose projects were approved in the last few months (number 4). Six project carriers are currently waiting for their grant decisions from Regen (number 6).
In recent months, the approval for further LEADER projects was granted by the Local Action Groups within the LEADER program framework, coordinated in Germany through regional authorities such as the Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) Ministry of Agriculture, which is responsible for recognising and funding these projects for the 2023–2027 period (number 15). The association currently has reserves of around 270 euros (number 3).
