In the autumn holidays of 2025, a significant bike path renovation project will commence along federal highway B248 between Neuekrug and Seesen. The project, overseen by the regional road authorities in Langelsheim (Goslar district), aims to repair approximately 700 meters of the bike path from the town entrance coming from Seesen up to house number 26.

The renovation project involves renewing both the bike path and road surface, with construction work expected to begin around September 25. During this period, traffic heading towards Seesen will be directed onto federal highway B243 towards Bornhausen, while traffic coming from Seesen will be diverted around the construction site.

The diversion at the B248/B82 junction will be a part of this ongoing project. However, it's important to note that the diversion does not involve the closure of any specific sections of federal highways B82 or B243. The roadway of federal highway B248 from Neuekrug to the junction with federal highway B82 will be completely closed for repairs during the autumn holidays (October 13 to 24).

The cost of the renovation project is approximately one million euros and will be borne by the federal government. The project also includes the renewal or expansion of street drains, shaft structures, gutters, and sewer lines.

Alternative routes are available for traffic heading towards Seesen, but no specific information about potential delays or alternative routes during the closure of federal highway B248 has been provided. It's recommended for commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.

The bus stops in the affected section will be made barrier-free during the renovation project. The Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic (Goslar branch), the Water Association Peine, and the city of Langelsheim are all involved in this bike path renovation project along federal highway B248.

It's worth noting that the diversion is not mentioned in the press release from the state authority for road construction and traffic, although the renovation project itself is reported in the press release. The project does not involve any advertisements.
