Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis Showcases Economic Strength at Expo Real with Two Major Projects

From October 6th to 8th, 2025, the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis will showcase its economic prowess at Expo Real in Munich. Led by RBW Managing Director Volker Suermann, the region will present two major projects: the Rhombus site in Wermelskirchen and the Zanders-Areal project in Bergisch Gladbach.

The Rhombus site, a new quarter spanning three hectares, will feature plans for commerce, education, public uses, and residential spaces. Meanwhile, the Zanders-Areal project covers 36 hectares and aims to become a mixed-use quarter for residential, business, and educational purposes.

The presentation will take place at the joint stand of the Cologne/Bonn region, with partners including VR Bank eG Bergisch Gladbach-Leverkusen, Kreissparkasse Köln, Hahn Group, and Rösrath OSMAB Holding AG. Landrat Stephan Santelmann and a Bergisch Gladbach delegation will join Suermann to present these projects to the real estate industry. Both projects are qualified within the framework of REGIONALE 2025.

The Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis is set to make a significant impression at Expo Real, with two promising projects poised to attract interest from the real estate industry. The region's commitment to mixed-use developments and collaboration with key partners signals a bright future for economic growth.
