Restoration of Railway Tracks at Stauffenbergallee, Königsbrücker
In the upcoming weekend, from August 1st to August 4th, there will be maintenance work at the intersection of Stauffenbergallee and Königsbrücker Straße in Dresden's northern district. This work will affect bus lines 7, 8, and 64, as well as car traffic in the area.
Falk Loesch, the spokesperson for the Dresden Public Transportation Authority (DVB), has confirmed that left turns onto Stauffenbergallee will not be possible for car drivers during the maintenance work. A large part of the intersection will be closed for car drivers, with only the inbound lane on Königsbrücker Straße open. Car drivers are advised to avoid the intersection widely during the weekend and consider alternative routes such as via Klotzsche and the airport access road or via Hansastraße to the Dresden-Nord on-ramp when travelling towards Waldschlößchenbrücke.
For bus passengers, the maintenance work will result in changes to the schedules of lines 7, 8, and 64. Bus line 7 will only go as far as Albertplatz and turn back at Neustadt station on Eisenbahnstraße. Bus line 8 will also only go as far as Albertplatz and use Augustusbrücke for turning at Postplatz. The eastern part of bus line 64 will only go as far as Marienallee from Striesen and turn back there.
In the opposite direction, bus line 64 will be rerouted via Bischofsplatz, Friedensstraße, and Hansastraße. Bus line 64 will be divided, with only the western part going as far as Stauffenbergallee from Kaditz, and only the eastern direction stops between St.-Pauli-Friedhof and Stauffenbergallee being served. On Stauffenbergallee towards Waldschlößchenbrücke, only right turns towards Albertplatz will be possible.
Tannenstraße and Hans-Oster-Straße will temporarily become one-way streets in the direction of Stauffenbergallee during the maintenance work. The detour for car drivers will go via Tannenstraße and Hans-Oster-Straße. The track work will affect a length of 22 meters at the intersection of Königsbrücker Straße and Stauffenbergallee.
The maintenance work will last for four days, from August 1st to August 4th, and will cost around 115,000 euros. It will be funded from the maintenance budget of the Dresden Transport Authority. The maintenance work at the intersection of Königsbrücker Straße and Stauffenbergallee will cost around 115,000 euros.
For the latest and most precise updates, including timetables and detailed route maps, consulting the official Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe (DVB) website or their info flyers for this construction is recommended. The city administration has posted an animated video about the Königsbrücker Street construction project online at www.dresden.de/koebrue.
Additionally, no tram traffic will be on Augustusbrücke on Saturday and Sunday between 10:30 AM and 4:00 PM due to a "Finals" sports event in the city center.
Passengers are encouraged to check the DVB website or contact the DVB customer service for the most up-to-date information and any changes that may occur due to the maintenance work.
In light of the maintenance work, the Dresden Public Transportation Authority (DVB) will temporarily alter the routes of bus lines 7, 8, and 64, causing changes in schedules and specific turn restrictions. Concurrently, the finance industry should set aside approximately 115,000 euros for the maintenance work at the intersection of Königsbrücker Straße and Stauffenbergallee, which is also set to affect the transportation sector, particularly car drivers and bus passengers.
