Restaurant Owner Fined €9,000 for Aiding Illegal Residence
A restaurant owner in the Aschaffenburg area has been fined €9,000 by the Aschaffenburg Local Court for aiding and abetting the illegal residence of three individuals. The restaurateur employed Georgian workers without the necessary residence permits for employment over a period of three years.
The women, who entered Germany with forged Slovak passports, were employed by the defendant, enabling their illegal residence. The head of the Financial Control of Undeclared Work at the Main Customs Office Schweinfurt led the investigations against the restaurateur. The Main Customs Office Schweinfurt's Financial Control Schwarzarbeit conducted the inspections and investigations that resulted in the conviction.
The restaurateur was fined €9,000 for aiding and abetting the illegal residence of the three individuals. The case serves as a reminder of the seriousness of employing workers without proper residence permits.
