Regular operations re-commence for the White fleet

After a temporary halt due to low water levels on the Elbe, the White Fleet is set to resume its full services along the Saxon wine route on the Moselle River, starting from this Friday. The fleet's expanded offerings include regular cruises, bridge tours, and the popular Canaletto cruise.

The White Fleet's services have been a favourite among tourists and locals alike, offering a unique perspective of the picturesque Moselle valley. The fleet's flagship, the "Treis-Karden," accommodates up to 400 passengers on three levels, including a sun deck. The boat departs from Cochem below the Skagerrak Bridge at multiple times daily, providing passengers with scenic views of vineyards, castles, and surrounding towns.

The 1-hour roundtrip cruise departs at 11:00, 12:30, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, and 17:30, allowing passengers to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Moselle valley at their leisure. The boats travel downstream through two bridges to the village of Ernst, where passengers have the option to disembark and explore local wine shops and festivities before returning to Cochem. This option is available outside of winter months.

The White Fleet's services are not just limited to the cruise. Onboard, passengers can enjoy soft drinks, coffee specialties, beer, excellent local wines, snacks, cakes, and ice cream, all sold by attentive staff. The route showcases iconic views of the Moselle valley, with steep hillsides covered in vineyards on both sides of the river, adding to the wine-route experience.

Regarding the Canaletto cruise and any specific bridge tours, the described 1-hour cruise itself serves as the bridge tour by passing under two bridges and presenting multiple perspectives of the famous Reichsburg castle. While there is no explicit separate mention of an exclusive Canaletto cruise apart from this route in the current information, this regular service along the Moselle wine route incorporates the scenic and cultural highlights commonly associated with the Canaletto cruise.

In summary, the White Fleet regularly operates multiple daily trips between Cochem and Ernst along the Saxon wine route, providing panoramic views of vineyards, historic bridges, and castles, with options to disembark at Ernst, all supported by onboard services for a complete wine route experience. Starting from this Friday, the fleet's services will be fully operational, making it an ideal time for tourists and locals to embark on a journey through the heart of the Moselle valley.
