Refreshed Renault Triber now available, starting price at 6.3 lakh Indian rupees
The Renault Triber Facelift, a revamped version of the popular compact multi-purpose vehicle, has been unveiled with several notable changes in design, features, and interior. Despite retaining the same powertrain, the facelift aims to enhance the Triber's competitiveness and appeal with modern design cues and better safety and convenience features.
Key Exterior Changes
The Renault Triber Facelift boasts a revised front profile with a new blackout grille featuring slender vertical slats and the updated Renault logo at the front and rear. The headlamp cluster has been updated with sleeker LED headlamps and integrated DRLs, replacing the older halogen units. The front bumper has been redesigned with a silver skid plate and larger intakes, and fog lamps have been added, which were absent in the old model.
At the rear, the LED tail lamps have been tweaked with a smoked effect, complemented by a black panel and 'Triber' badging on the tailgate. The rear bumper sports a dual-tone finish, horizontal reflectors, and skid plates. The Renault Triber Facelift also introduces a new 15-inch alloy wheel design with stylized covers. New colour options, including red paint, Amber Terracota, Shadow Grey, and Zanskar Blue, have been added to the lineup.
Interior Enhancements
The interior of the Renault Triber Facelift undergoes significant updates. The dashboard layout is revised, with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system moved higher on the dashboard and AC vents relocated below it. The touchscreen now features touch-based volume controls instead of a knob. A fully digital 7.0-inch instrument cluster has been introduced, replacing the previous analog/digital hybrid cluster.
Other additions include automatic climate control, ambient lighting, and traffic sign recognition camera. The cabin trim is updated to a more modern greyish-beige and black color scheme with revised upholstery. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity is now standard, and the model comes with six airbags for enhanced safety. Other new features like automatic headlamps, cruise control, front parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and a 360-degree surround-view camera have been added to the equipment list.
Powertrain and Mechanics
The facelift retains the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine producing 71 bhp and 96 Nm torque. Transmission options remain the same with a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT (available only on top trims). The optional CNG retrofit kit continues to be offered, enhancing practicality but may be introduced slightly later in the facelift lifecycle.
In summary, the Triber facelift focuses on cosmetic enhancements, feature upgrades, and improved interior ergonomics and tech, while keeping the familiar powertrain and mechanical setup. This refresh aims to enhance the Triber’s competitiveness and appeal with modern design cues and better safety and convenience features.
