Refashioned 2017 Ford Fiesta showcases a more mature design from Ford automaker
New 2017 Ford Fiesta Arrives in UK Market in 2018
The much-anticipated 2017 Ford Fiesta is set to hit the UK market in 2018, with production already underway in Germany. The new model was unveiled on Tuesday, 29 November 2016, and is poised to offer a more upmarket experience, making way for the new Ford KA+.
The new Fiesta, based on the same platform as the current model, has been designed to be a more grown-up supermini. It boasts a slightly larger size and a more confident, mature appearance. The grille, inspired by the latest Focus, and the evolutionary lights give it a fresh yet familiar look, resembling a grown-up version of the current Fiesta.
The interior of the new Fiesta features more upmarket and nice-to-touch materials, offering a decent screen size and more tech and connectivity. Specific details about the new Fiesta's design, interior, and engines will be revealed later this evening. However, the first photo shown was of an ST-Line model, suggesting revised small capacity diesel and petrol engines.
The 2017 Ford Fiesta is priced from £12,715 for the Fiesta Style, and £19,345 for the Fiesta Vignale, for Right-Hand Drive (RHD) models. The prices for the Fiesta ST and Fiesta Active models have not been disclosed yet.
The new Fiesta will go on sale in the UK, joining the Fiesta ST and Fiesta Active models which are also expected to be available in 2018. The Fiesta ST, known for its sporty performance, and the Fiesta Active, a crossover version of the Fiesta, are eagerly awaited additions to the lineup.
The new 2017 Ford Fiesta, including the right-hand drive versions for the British market, was produced by Ford at its Cologne plant in Germany. The new models will be available in the UK market in 2018, marking a significant milestone for Ford and its loyal customers.
