One-Time Payment of Up to 3,100 Hryvnias for Eligible Ukrainian Citizens

The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) has announced a one-time payment of 3,100 hryvnias for certain categories of Ukrainian citizens as part of the Independence Day state assistance program. Here's what you need to know about this payment and how to apply.

Who is Eligible

Eligible individuals include those with special status, such as:

  • Persons who have special merits to the Motherland
  • War invalids
  • Former juvenile prisoners of Nazi camps
  • Forcibly detained persons

Participants of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) and first-group war invalids are also eligible for this payment.

Payment Amount

The exact amount varies by category. For persons who have special merits to the Motherland, 3,100 UAH is allocated. Other categories related to war invalidity, former juvenile prisoners of Nazi camps, and forcibly detained persons typically receive amounts ranging from 450 to 1,000 UAH depending on their precise status.

Application Process

Most eligible citizens will receive this payment automatically if their status is already documented in government registries, such as the Pension Fund records. However, some individuals may need to initiate a request or confirm their eligibility with relevant authorities.

To apply or confirm eligibility, follow these steps:

  1. Check your status registration with the Pension Fund or social protection agencies that maintain records for war veterans, disabled persons, former prisoners of concentration camps, or persons with special status.
  2. If your status is recognized, verify with the Pension Fund or local social services whether the one-time Independence Day payment will be credited automatically.
  3. If payment is not automatic, contact the local social protection office, Pension Fund branch, or Ministry of Social Policy to apply or submit necessary documentation proving your status.
  4. Monitor official announcements or your bank account if payments are processed automatically.

Deadline and Application Methods

The deadline for submitting applications is October 1, 2025. Eligible citizens can submit applications through PFU service centers, State Citizenship and Migration Service, by mail, or online via the official website using a qualified electronic signature.

Additional Information

When applying in person, original documents must be presented for verification. The application process requires providing details of identity documents, taxpayer identification number, and bank account for funds transfer.

The state's one-time payments aim to support citizens in vulnerable positions and recognize their efforts and contributions. Transparency and accessibility in obtaining such payments contribute to increased trust in state institutions.

The delay until October 1, 2025, provides extra time for obtaining the payment, particularly beneficial for individuals living in remote regions or with limited internet access.

The prompt and efficient implementation of social programs remains a top priority for government agencies. Submitting applications electronically through the Pension Fund's web portal simplifies the process and reduces waiting time for payment.
