New Vande Bharat Express Trains to Commence Service from August 10
Indian Railways is set to launch three new Vande Bharat Express trains from August 10, enhancing connectivity across various regions of the country. Among these new services, the Belagavi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will provide a faster, more comfortable travel option between the northern and southern parts of Karnataka.
Belagavi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express
The Belagavi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will run under number 26751 Belagavi-KSR Bengaluru and 26752 KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi. The train departs Belagavi at 5.20 am and reaches Bengaluru at 1.50 pm, offering a travel time of approximately 8 hours. For the return journey, it leaves at 2.20 pm and arrives in Belagavi at 10.40 pm.
Key halts for the Belagavi-Bengaluru service include Yeshwantpur, Tumakuru, Devanagere, Haveri, Hubballi, and Dharwad. Fares on the Belagavi-Bengaluru route are set at Rs 1,575 for CC and Rs 2,905 for executive class, both inclusive of catering charges.
Ajni-Pune Vande Bharat Express
The Ajni-Pune service will operate six days a week, excluding Mondays. The train departs Ajni at 9.50 am and reaches Pune at 9.50 pm. Major halts for the Ajni-Pune service will include Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Ahmednagar, and Daund Chord Line. Fares on the Ajni-Pune route are set at Rs 1,500 for CC and Rs 3,000 for executive chair (EC).
Amritsar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express
The Amritsar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express is expected to boost connectivity between Amritsar and Katra. The train departs Katra at 6.40 am and reaches Amritsar at 12.20 pm. Key halts for the Amritsar-Katra service include Beas, Jalandhar City, Pathankot Cantt, and Jammu Tawi. Fares for this route have not been announced yet.
This new Vande Bharat service is designed primarily for pilgrims visiting the Vaishno Devi shrine, offering faster and more comfortable travel with modern facilities such as automatic doors, CCTV, and ergonomic reclining seats. It is maintained by the Northern Railway zone and operates daily except Tuesdays.
