PUAM Surges to $321,444.30 With New $70,000 Bonus Ahead of August Payments
The Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) has seen a significant increase to $321,444.30, including a new additional bonus of $70,000. This comes as ANSES, Argentina's social security agency, prepares for August 2025 payments, with a special one exceeding $650,000 earmarked for a specific group of beneficiaries. This news follows an increase in the Non-Contributory Pensions (PNC) for Disability and Old Age to $290,013.76, also including a $70,000 bonus.
The PUAM increase is accompanied by a 1.62% rise, in line with the IPC data released by INDEC two months ago. The maximum retirement amount now stands at $2,114,977.6 without the extraordinary bonus, while the minimum retirement amount is $384,305.37, including the $70,000 bonus. AUH beneficiaries will receive $112,941 per child in August 2025, with ANSES retaining 20% of this amount. They will also benefit from the additional amount of the Food Card to facilitate access to the basic food basket.
ANSES has confirmed that a select group of beneficiaries with six children receiving both AUH and Food Card payments will receive more than $600,000 in August 2025. However, as of October 2023, there are no specific details about a group of ANSES recipients set to receive a one-time payment of over €650,000 in August 2025. Official announcements or relevant news sources should provide updates on this matter.
The PUAM and PNC increases, along with the new additional bonus, demonstrate a commitment to supporting retirees and pensioners. The special August 2025 payment for a specific group of beneficiaries also highlights ANSES' efforts to provide targeted assistance. As always, beneficiaries are advised to stay informed through official ANSES channels or relevant news sources for the latest updates.
