Pioneering Virtual Reality Collaboration for Industries: TechViz at the Forefront

Paris-based TechViz to Exhibit at VRDays 2020

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in the city of love, TechViz is a virtual and augmented reality software developer with a team of approximately twenty researchers and developers. With sales offices in China, India, and the United States, TechViz boasts a network of resellers in various countries. One out of every three large industrial groups uses TechViz, and their presence is growing in the aeronautics and automotive sectors.

TechViz provides 3D data visualization solutions, allowing users to display virtual prototypes in real time on various VR visualization systems. The company's mission is to help customers save money and shorten their product's time to market by better understanding their 3D data. TechViz supports CAD models from over 200 applications, including Dassault Systems Catia, SolidWorks, Autodesk Revit, and Siemens NX. The software works with various VR projection systems, such as headsets, walls, CAVE, and immersive rooms.

The primary audience for TechViz's solution is engineers working in the industrial sector. The software streamlines project review, product presentation, design evaluation, maintenance process evaluation, ergonomics, complex data visualization, virtual reality training, and real-time collaboration between colleagues. TechViz is widely used in the aeronautics and automotive industries, with large groups like Airbus, Boeing, PSA, Renault, Ford, BMW, Porsche, and Honda among their customers.

TechViz has chosen to participate in the 6th edition of VRDays as an exhibitor. This year, the event is going virtual, drawing a considerable audience of industrialists, including potential clients TechViz hopes to meet to present their latest innovation, Cloud&Viz. Cloud&Viz is an interactive virtual reality platform that allows users to broadcast CAD content instantly and remotely, enabling stakeholders without CAD software or high-end computing hardware to view and interact with 3D models.

At VRDays, TechViz will speak at a conference on the theme "Future of Work." The company has experimented with virtual booths in recent months, finding that standalone virtual booths do not typically generate much impact. However, the combination of a virtual booth and a conference talk could prove fruitful. In an interview, Alexis Vartanian, CTO of TechViz, expressed hope that the synergy between the virtual booth and the conference talk would lead to successful engagements.

In this unusual context, there is increased interest in TechViz's solutions, although orders have been slow due to remote work restrictions and limited access to equipment. However, the launch of Cloud&Viz addresses these challenges and presents an opportunity for future growth.

At the upcoming VRDays 2020, TechViz, a prominent player in the virtual and augmented reality industry, will showcase their latest innovation, Cloud&Viz. This finance-supported technology allows remote stakeholders to view and interact with 3D models, overcoming the challenges posed by remote work restrictions and equipment limitations in the current context. With a conference talk on "Future of Work" also scheduled, TechViz hopes to engage potential clients from various industrial sectors, expanding their presence in finance-heavy industries like aeronautics and automotive.
