Palawan Group Marks 40 Years with Partners' Night Celebration
The Palawan Group of Companies, a leading financial institution in the Philippines, marked its 40th anniversary with a Partners' Night celebration on August 5 and 6, 2025. The event honoured outstanding partners who embody the brand's core values of dependability, reliability, and trustworthiness.
Kicking off the celebration, the spotlight fell on Palawan's Business-to-Business (B2B) arm, which was officially rebranded as Palawan for Business. The group's rapid growth is evident, with over 70,000 branches and outlets nationwide.
The event, hosted by founders Mr. Bobby Castro and Mrs. Angelita Castro, reflected on the company's 40-year journey. It recognised suppliers, international partners, and internal teams for their contributions. Chief Business Development Officer Lisa Castro-Sabado opened the evening, highlighting the B2B team's work with over 1,700 partners in just three years.
Palawan Group offers a wide range of services, including pawning, remittances, microinsurance, bill payment, mobile loading, money exchange, ATM withdrawal, and cash disbursements. PalawanPay, an e-wallet app, allows users to access these services conveniently.

Despite no specific international business partners being publicly named, the event recognised the crucial role they play in the company's success.
