Ohio Political Action: Details and Directives on Action Day's Execution
The Police Headquarters East Hesse (POEH) recently conducted a commercial goods traffic control at Kirchheim as part of the Hesse Trucker Meeting. The event, which took place on September 17th, aimed to increase traffic safety, provide educational work, and facilitate communication and exchange with drivers, companies, professional associations, and interested parties.
The control, which took place on the grounds of the SVG Kirchheim truck stop, saw a total of 62 vehicles and persons inspected. Various control authorities, including the police headquarters of East and Central Hesse, the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility, the customs office, and the government presidency of Kassel, participated in the control.
The focus of the control was on compliance with driving and rest times, technical vehicle conditions, cargo securing, and dangerous goods regulations, as well as the issue of distraction in road traffic. Fines were imposed in the low five-figure range for numerous violations in the area of the so-called social regulations, technical defects, and general traffic violations.
In two cases of suspected document forgery, criminal charges were filed with the competent public prosecutor's office. A driver from the Kassel district was suspected of forging the MOT sticker and associated documents of a vehicle, while a driver from Romania and the company responsible in Austria were suspected of forging an EU community license required for cross-border goods transport.
One Romanian articulated lorry was only allowed to continue its journey after technical defects in the area of brake lines had been rectified. Two vehicles were prohibited from further travel due to the suspected document forgery.
