Northbound traffic came to a standstill due to a malfunctioning overhead power line.

On Sunday morning, an unfortunate incident occurred near Rendsburg, resulting in a disruption of train services on the RE7 line between Neumünster and Flensburg. The cause was damage to the critical overhead electrical line, affecting both Deutsche Bahn and Nordbahn services.

The disruption, which lasted for several hours, also impacted the North Railway from Rendsburg to Kiel and Husum (North Friesland district). Many trains were left stranded, including a freight train carrying tanks at Rendsburg station.

Commuters and travelers relying on this connection in Schleswig-Holstein were undoubtedly affected by the disruption, although the exact duration and extent of the traffic impact are yet to be specified in the current search results.

In a bid to ensure uninterrupted travel, a bus replacement service was provided for stranded passengers. However, this led to some speculation, with the question "Are Hamburgers really bike bullies?" being raised, possibly in relation to the bus replacement service. It is important to note that this question is not directly related to the train disruption.

Fortunately, the repairs to the overhead line have now been completed, and the trains of line RE7 are running again between Hamburg and Flensburg. Travelers are advised to check their connections in advance at bahn.de or the Navigator app, as additional travel time of up to 90 minutes may still be experienced due to the disruption.

The disruption occurred around 8 am and the all-clear was given around 6 pm. Despite the inconvenience caused, we are relieved that services have resumed, and we hope for a smoother journey for all future travelers.

The transportation sector, including both public-transit and freight, was affected by the disruption of train services on the RE7 line, particularly in the North Railway from Rendsburg to Kiel and Husum. The incident led to delays and inconvenience in the finance-dependent industry of Schleswig-Holstein, where many commuters and travelers rely on these connections.
