New SUVs Shake Up Market: Kia Sportage, Toyota RAV4, Jeep Compass, Nissan Qashqai Impress
The automotive market is abuzz with new offerings and updates. The Kia Sportage, Toyota RAV4, Jeep Compass, and Nissan Qashqai have all made headlines with their latest iterations, each offering unique features and value propositions.
Kia's Sportage leads the pack with its impressive PHEV offering, starting at a competitive £39k or around £550 per month. The limited spec adds adaptive cruise control, wireless charging, 18-inch alloys, and a luxurious leather interior. Meanwhile, the Toyota RAV4 boasts a more accomplished hybrid powertrain, priced from £35k or £640 per month.
The Jeep Compass, available in five specs, comes standard with heated front seats, steering wheel, two-zone auto aircon, keyless go, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, and advanced safety tech. Entry petrol models start at £30,165 for the Night Eagle and £31,165 for the Limited. In Germany, the Compass is offered in several versions, with prices varying depending on the model and equipment. For instance, a new 2025 Compass Limited can start around €32,890, while other versions like the S PHEV lease start around €282 monthly.
The Nissan Qashqai, however, stands out as a better all-rounder and more affordable option, starting at £26k or £334 per month. The PHEV is available in Upland, S, and Trailhawk specs, costing between £41,500 and £42,500. The Trailhawk adds skid plates and off-road-specific bumpers. Monthly lease costs start at around £440 for the entry petrol, £480 for the MHEV, and £600 for the PHEV. The 1.5-litre MHEV car ranges from £34k to £38k, with Upland adding satnav, recycled interior trim, and fancier interior trim, while S adds electrically adjustable seats, hands-free tailgate, and more leather.
Each of these vehicles offers something unique, from the Kia Sportage's value PHEV to the Toyota RAV4's accomplished hybrid powertrain, the Jeep Compass's comprehensive standard features, and the Nissan Qashqai's affordability and all-round capability. Consumers are spoiled for choice in the current market.
