The number of job seekers, though, has climbed up to about 46,300. Over 12,400 of them? Foreign passport holders - that's a jump of over 16% compared to the year before. A staggering number, wouldn't you agree? Yet, the pool of unemployed young folks is on the rise - around 22,700 to be exact. The reason? According to the folks in the know, it's all about matching demand with the right skills - or rather, the lack thereof. Seems like Qs and As just aren't adding up - it's school grades, language skills, or simple social skills causing the ruckus.

What can be done about this issue, you ask? Introducing the "Assistive Apprenticeship" – a support tool provided by the employment agency. Companies receive help finding the perfect candidate and guiding them through apprenticeships. The catch? Few companies seem to be in the loop on this offer. In 2024, only a measly 6,320 companies across the nation took advantage of this instrument.

Here's a call to action, employers. Give job seekers with a rough start a shot. They've got untapped potential just waiting to burst forth - they just need a chance to prove it. As Musati puts it, "A company that gives young people with a rough start a leg up today will be hoarding top-notch talent tomorrow. We can't afford to let these potentials slip through our fingers."
