Moonfare bolsters its investment squad by welcoming a new recruit based in London
Moonfare, a leading global fintech investment company, has announced the hiring of Karran Kent as Senior Associate to bolster its investment team in London. Kent's role will focus on expanding the firm's investment capabilities, particularly in fund investments, secondaries, co-investments, and direct deals.
Kent joins Moonfare from investment bank Houlihan Lokey, Inc., where he worked as Senior Associate in secondaries, focusing on the origination and execution of GP-led secondary transactions. Prior to his tenure at Houlihan Lokey, Kent began his career at PJT Park Hill.
Sanjay Gupta, Moonfare's Chief Investment Officer, expressed excitement about Kent's expertise joining the team. "Karran's diverse background in secondaries will be invaluable as we continue to develop this part of our business," Gupta said. "His experience at multiple firms will be particularly beneficial to Moonfare's ongoing development in this area."
The addition of Kent further strengthens Moonfare's expertise in secondaries, a growing area of importance not only for the company but also for its investor base, particularly for open-ended funds sought by those with smaller investment pots. Secondaries are increasingly becoming a crucial aspect of Moonfare's business strategy.
