Mining company Questcorp granted permission exemption for conducting an Infrastructure Project survey at the North Island Copper site
Questcorp Mining Inc. Announces IP Survey at North Island Copper Project
Questcorp Mining Inc. has received a permit exemption under the British Columbia Mines Act to conduct an IP (Induced Polarisation) survey at its North Island Copper project. The survey, which will span 10 to 15 line km, is aimed at the historic Marisa Zone.
Two of the five holes drilled in the 1990s at the North Island Copper project hit interesting copper values. DDH92-01 had a down hole interval of 0.078% copper over 56.39 metres, while DDH92-03 had a down hole interval of 0.041% copper over 70.71 metres. Notably, copper grades were increasing with depth in DDH92-03.
The geophysics company for the update of the 35-year-old IP survey has not been explicitly named, but Questcorp is currently evaluating quotes from three geophysical contractors for this work.
The news release contains forward-looking statements regarding the completion of survey work at the North Island Copper project. The statements are made by management of Questcorp Mining Inc., and the contact information for the company is provided, including email, phone number, and physical address.
However, no assurance is given that the anticipated events will occur. The statements are subject to risks and uncertainties that may cause actual results to differ materially. The Company is not obligated to update the forward-looking statements if beliefs, estimates, or opinions change.
Surface sampling and a preliminary IP survey in the 1990s identified a chargeability anomaly at the Marisa Zone. The Company plans to follow up these historic results with the upcoming IP survey.
