McLaren GTS Car Up for Grabs in ClubWPT Gold Giveaway Event
Article:
Winning the Million-Dollar Freeroll & the Chance to Drive a McLaren GTS
The poker scene is heating up with the WPT's upcoming $5,000,000 freeroll tournament at the Wynn, scheduled from December 13th-15th. The event will see a whopping $1m first-place prize, along with an additional million distributed as free seats to the WPT World Championship.
This tournament marks the launch of the WPT's newest partner, ClubWPT Gold, an online poker platform operating on a sweepstakes basis. To participate, players have been signing up for gold membership on ClubWPT Gold and winning "Golden Passports" through various competitions, promotions, and giveaways.
However, that's not all WPT has in store for attendees. $700,000 in Mystery Bounties, a Wynn Field Club NFL experience, and a "Gold Cash Booth" showering participants with banknotes are on the agenda. If that's not enough excitement, ClubWPT Gold has a brand-new 2025 McLaren GTS up for grabs!
The Allure of Luxury Cars in Poker Promotions
Luxury vehicles have frequently graced poker tournaments and promotions. In 2018, American pro Simon Lam took home a $565,055 first prize, a $15,000 ticket for the WPT Tournament of Champions, and a brand-new Mercedes-Benz SLC Roadster worth $50,000. Fast cars have been a common staple in poker tournaments for years.
In 2007, Italian hotshot Dario Minieri and countryman Luca Moschitta both cashed in by using their Pokerstars frequent player points to buy Porsches. Then, in 2011, the $5m guarantee Pokerstars Sunday Million drew a massive field of 59,128 and generated a jaw-dropping prize pool. At the final table, players had the opportunity to negotiate, with the champion taking home a brand-new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.
From Lamborghini to McLaren
Taking place just a month before Black Friday, that Sunday Million tournament was a high point for online poker. The tournament was eventually won by the mercurial Luke "Bdbeatslayer" Vrabel, who shared the prize money of $844,209 with three others but walked away with the Lamborghini.
Vrabel, a resident of West Hartford, Connecticut at the time, shared his excitement about the new vehicle with our website News. "I couldn't wait to check out the cost of sports car insurance," he said, hesitant at first about the $3k monthly rate. However, the allure of looking "phenomenally boss" in his Lamborghini eventually won him over.
As a resident of Vrabel's hometown, I can say firsthand that he certainly looked the part behind the wheel of that luxury vehicle, driven by the $671,093 he'd won in the tournament. When asked if he would trade up from his fourteen-year-old Lamborghini to a brand-new McLaren, Vrabel answered, "Yeah, the lambo has a lot of miles on the clock now, so I hope I get a damn seat in that $5m freeroll."
Your Chance to Win the McLaren GTS
If you, like Luke Vrabel, dream of driving a McLaren GTS, here's your opportunity. You don't need to be invited to the ClubWPT Gold $5m Invitational Freeroll to win it; just show up at the Wynn, go to the Gold Tree Booth, and prove you've signed up for ClubWPT Gold.
Even if you haven't already signed up, you can do so right there at the Wynn. Once verified, you get to draw an envelope and win a prize, some of which will contain Gold Passports, one of which will be the sought-after 2025 McLaren GTS with a 626 horsepower twin-turbo V-8 engine.
For those concerned about speeding tickets, ClubWPT Gold offers a cash alternative of $150,000. That may be a tempting offer for some.
