Mastercard Appoints New Leaders for Asia Pacific and Turkey
Mastercard has appointed two new executives to lead its operations in key regions. Avşar Gürdal has been named Vice President, Business Development, for Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (APEMEA). Meanwhile, Onur Faydacı takes over as General Manager of Mastercard Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Gürdal, who previously held roles in consulting and technology at companies like PwC and Accenture, will oversee strategy design and implementation in the Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) region. His responsibilities include evaluating investment opportunities and managing analytical functions. He steps into this role following the departure of the previous incumbent.
Faydacı, also a seasoned professional with a background in consulting and technology, will lead Mastercard's operations and performance management in Turkey and Azerbaijan. His appointment is effective from October 1, 2025, succeeding the outgoing general manager.
Both Gürdal and Faydacı bring extensive experience in their respective fields to their new roles at Mastercard. Their appointments reflect the company's commitment to strengthening its presence and operations in these strategically important regions.
