The city of Nordhorn is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the role of Team Leader for the Traffic Planning/Street Construction Department. This is a full-time, unlimited position, offering a competitive salary and numerous benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate costs for local contributions and account for construction measures with various funding providers, such as N-GVFG.
- Prepare documents for municipal committees and engineering contracts.
- Coordinate and monitor engineering firms and consult with external parties involved in the measures.
- Participate or process planning approval procedures and land use planning procedures.
- Lead the department, currently consisting of 8 employees, and independently develop design-ready plans for streets and traffic junctions.
Qualifications:
- A completed degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Traffic Planning/Street Construction or a comparable field of study with several years of professional experience is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical regulations and guidelines, as well as good IT skills (MS-Office, GIS), is expected. Knowledge of the tendering program ORCA and the specialist software Vestra is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are necessary.
- Applicants should have teamwork skills, initiative, organizational and negotiating skills, as well as assertiveness.
