Management team strengthened at Alexianer Klinikum in the Highlands (Highland Alexianer Hospital)
Beginning July 1, 2025, Sanja Popić will assume a pivotal role in the management of Alexianer Klinikum Hochsauerland and its subsidiaries. Popić, a 49-year-old healthcare professional and economist specializing in healthcare, will work in tandem with Michael Gesenhues as co-representatives of the managerial team. This strategic move aims to maintain and enhance the successful transformation process within hospital planning.
Popić boasts extensive experience in clinic management, having worked within various Helios Clinics locations since 2014. Her tenure began in Oberhausen, Siegburg, and Velbert, after which she served in Siegburg and Bonn. Björn Hoffmann, Alexianer-Verbund business manager Westphalia, commends Popić's expertise, energy, and high value orientation, stating that she will significantly contribute to the future development of Alexianer Klinikum Hochsauerland.
Michael Gesenhues, who has managed Alexianer Klinikum Hochsauerland since early 2024, welcomes Popić's appointment, citing the numerous tasks in the economic, personnel, and cultural transformation of the clinic and its subsidiaries. Ralf Paul Bittner, chairman of the Klinikum Hochsauerland GmbH supervisory board, praises the expanded management team, emphasizing its positive impact on the hospital's stability and long-term viability.
