New Managing Director Announced for Lotto Baden-Württemberg

Paul Nemeth, a seasoned business professional with extensive experience in politics and administration, has been appointed as the new managing director of Lotto Baden-Württemberg. The state-owned company, employing around 200 people, announced the change, effective from 1 November 2025.

Nemeth, a native of Böblingen, brings a wealth of experience from the economy, particularly in human resources, information technology, and marketing. He has worked for a large IT company for decades and was a long-serving member of the state parliament for 15 years.

His appointment follows the upcoming departure of Georg Wacker, the current managing director, who has led the company since 1 January 2018. Wacker's contract ends on 31 July 2025, and until then, Michael Grepl will act as interim managing director.

Under Wacker's leadership, Lotto Baden-Württemberg has seen significant growth and development. New products were introduced, digitalization was advanced, and the focus on sustainability goals was strengthened. In 2024, the company generated game stakes of 1.138 billion euros.
