Rakesh Jallipally, a seasoned fashion industry veteran with over 18 years of experience, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Pepe Jeans London in India, effective July 24, 2025.
Known for his ability to blend sharp business insight with operational excellence, Jallipally has had a significant impact on India’s fashion retail landscape throughout his career. Before joining Pepe Jeans, he held leadership roles at major companies, including Raymond Ltd., Arvind Fashions Ltd., and Reliance Retail, as well as a stint at Flipkart.
At Raymond Ltd., Jallipally managed extensive retail operations across South India, which laid the groundwork for his operational and strategic skills in both luxury and mass-market segments. He then spent nearly a decade at Arvind Fashions Limited, serving as CEO and COO, where he was instrumental in the turnaround and growth of lifestyle brands like USPA and Flying Machine.
At Reliance Retail, he was the Business Head of AZORTE, a premium specialty retail brand, which he conceptualized and scaled to achieve over ₹500 crore turnover in two years by innovating retail formats that combined technology and consumer experience.
Most recently, Jallipally was Vice President at Flipkart, where he accelerated innovation in fashion retail, launched and expanded “Spoyl,” a fashion platform targeting the Gen Z demographic, and led the men’s fashion segment.
Pepe Jeans London, a denim-led fashion brand that was born on London’s Portobello Road in 1973, remains devoted to its initial mantra and pledge to create the world's most exciting denim-led fashion. The brand's collections include women’s, men’s, and junior lines.
