Liebherr Aerospace Saline Expands MRO Capacity with New Michigan Facility

Liebherr Aerospace Saline has opened a new 3,065 sqm building in Michigan, US, expanding its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) news capacity. The new site, adjacent to the existing heat transfer facility, began operations in July 2024.

The new facility, situated at Liebherr's industrial campus in Michigan, optimizes internal MRO processes and increases landing gear processing news. It also enlarges the area of MRO activities for pneumatic components.

The new building offers aftermarket testing, repair, overhaul, and recore services for Liebherr heat transfer equipment used in various aircraft from manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Embraer, and Mitsubishi. This expansion addresses growing customer demand for MRO news covering Liebherr products used in commercial aircraft, helicopters, and business jets.

Alex Vlielander, chief customer officer at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, thanked customers for their positive reception. He noted that the expansion shortens overall turnaround time, reduces costs, and lowers the company's carbon footprint.
