The 2025 Roots Picnic is happening, and the artist lineup is a stunning mix of talents!

The festival takes place at The Mann in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, from May 31 to June 1. Presale tickets are available on February 18.
The Roots Picnic is renowned for its diverse musical blend, encompassing hip-hop, neo-soul, funk, R&B, jazz, pop, and rock. It honestly has no boundaries. Black Thought, The Roots' lyricist, leads the J. Period Live Mixtape, a long-standing feature of the festival.
Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Jagged Edge, Jeezy, and Adam Blackstone are among other standout performers who'll take the stage. Additionally, the multi-Grammy-nominated Musiq Soulchild will honor the 25th anniversary of his debut album, while The Roots celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic sophomore album.
This year's festival also pays homage to localized music genres, like D.C.'s go-go, with Baller Alert and The Backyard Band joining the lineup. Rich Medina brings in class acts Crystal Waters and CeCe Peniston for a fusion of house, dance, R&B, pop, and soul.
Laila!, the rising R&B star with 49 million Spotify streams for "Not My Problem," and Lay Bankz, known for her hit "Tell Ur Girlfriend" and viral TikTok song "Ick," are two not-to-miss acts. The lineup also includes Funk Flex, DJ Diamond Kuts, Raheem DeVaughn, and Kirk Franklin’s Sunday School with DJ Mal-Ski.
Lenny Kravitz, revving up from the European leg of his Blue Electric Light Tour, and D'Angelo, making a comeback to live performances, are also set to headline the festival.
Tems, a 2X Grammy award winner, joins the lineup with her Grammy-winning hit "Love Me Jeje." The festival also supports Black enterprises by featuring Black-owned businesses, like food vendors, as part of its annual affair in Philadelphia, the hometown of the 3x Grammy award-winning group.
