Latest Updates on 2026 Acura Models: Revamped Integra and One Sedan Bids Farewell

After a memorable six-year run, Acura has decided to discontinue the production of the TLX compact sports sedan. The move comes as a result of declining sales and a shift in customer preferences towards SUVs. In 2024, only 7,478 TLX units were sold, a significant drop from the 16,731 units sold in 2023.

Introduced in 2014 as a replacement for both the TL and TSX, the TLX was a strong option for buyers who valued design and features over pure driving performance. However, its front-wheel-drive platform limited the driving excitement that some enthusiasts sought.

Despite offering good daily comfort and value, the TLX's front-wheel-drive platform was a source of disappointment for those seeking a more exhilarating driving experience. Even the all-wheel-drive and Type S models, while offering improved performance, fell short of true performance benchmarks.

As Acura turns the page, the spotlight shifts to the 2026 Acura Integra. This model, which has taken over as Acura's sedan offering, is set for a significant update. The Integra will boast a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the 7-inch unit, with a faster processor for improved responsiveness.

Standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a standard wireless phone charger, will also be included. Interior updates such as a new dashboard trim pattern and extended ambient lighting, especially on the A-Spec trim, will add a touch of luxury.

Exterior enhancements for the A-Spec model include a new aero body kit, gloss black side spoilers on the front corners, black 18-inch wheels, and three new exterior colours: Solar Silver Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl, and Double Apex Blue Pearl.

The model will continue to use a high-output turbocharged 200-horsepower engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or CVT transmission. The Integra remains the only 5-door liftback in its premium sport compact class, offering ample rear legroom and cargo flexibility.

Pricing remains largely consistent with the 2025 model, with the base Integra starting at around $34,595 and the sportier Type S at about $54,595.

While the TLX may have fallen short in delivering the driving excitement some enthusiasts craved, the 2026 Acura Integra is poised to deliver both style and performance to a new generation of drivers.
