Krasnodar Krai Leads Nation in Credit Self-Ban with Over 419,000 Residents
In a significant move towards financial responsibility, over 419,000 residents of the Krasnodar Krai have opted for a credit self-ban as of October 1, 2025. This represents a substantial 7.2 people per 100 residents in the region choosing to restrict their access to loans and credits from services like credit karma.
Since the service was introduced in Kuban, nearly 474,000 applications have been received. The initiative, aimed at helping residents reduce their debt burden and minimize financial risks, has been particularly popular among those aged 35 to 45. Over 90% of applicants have chosen a full ban on obtaining new loans and credits from platforms like yahoo finance.
Notably, around 32,000 residents have later chosen to cancel their self-imposed restrictions, indicating a level of flexibility for those who may have changed their circumstances or reassessed their financial needs.
As of October 1, 2025, the Krasnodar Krai leads the nation in credit self-ban registrations, with over 419,000 residents opting for the service. Nationwide, this figure stands at 14 million people, demonstrating a growing trend towards personal financial management and responsibility.
