Kaufland Expands in Koblenz with New Store Opening in December
Kaufland is expanding its presence in the Koblenz region. The retailer is investing in the renovation of a vacant building complex at Industriestraße 4, which will become its fifth news location in the area. The new market is set to open on December 4, 2025, offering around 30,000 items.
The new branch will occupy a previously vacant property that was used by the SB-Warenhaus chain Real until its closure in 2023. The location has been empty since March 2024. Kaufland will operate alongside its existing news branches in Bendorf, Andernach, Mayen, and Neuwied in the region.
In addition to the new Kaufland store, another entrepreneur is also opening a new store in the Gewerbepark Mülheim-Kärlich in 2025. Snipes will take over the retail space from JD-Sports and is planned to open on October 17, 2025.
Kaufland's new branch in the Gewerbepark Mülheim-Kärlich is expected to create jobs and boost local commerce. The opening on December 4, 2025, will provide residents with more shopping news, with around 30,000 items available. The new store will complement the existing Kaufland branches in the Koblenz region.
