Job Changes: 58% Switch Professions, High Loyalty in Tech, High Turnover in Arts

A recent study reveals insights into job changes across various fields. Notably, 58 percent of all job switches involve a change of profession. However, certain sectors show high loyalty, such as software development, with only 31 percent of employees shifting fields.

In human resources, customer service, and data analysis, the monthly turnover rate stands at 2.9 percent and 2.6 percent respectively. Conversely, arts and culture, and social sciences exhibit high exit rates, with over 80 percent of employees leaving their field upon changing jobs. Medical technology and dentistry, with turnover rates of 1.2 percent and 18.6 percent respectively, show lower mobility.

Logistics stands out with over half (54.5 percent) of employees coming from different fields. Meanwhile, insurance and management roles are particularly open to career changes, with over 50 percent of new starters from other professions. The average monthly turnover rate is nearly two percent, affecting one in fifty employees.

High mobility can optimize skill usage and labor force distribution. However, professions with high qualification barriers, like software development and medical fields, face increasing labor shortages due to demographic changes. Career changers find opportunities in logistics, insurance, and management roles, while arts and culture sectors see high employee turnover.
