IWI Introduces Carmel Sporting Rifle to U.S. Market
Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) has introduced the Carmel, a modern and durable sporting rifle, to the U.S. stock market today. The Carmel, a descendant of the AR-18 and Tavor rifles, is priced at $1,799 and offers exceptional features that justify its cost.
The Carmel was first introduced to the international military market in 2019. It features a polymer upper with steel inserts and a free-floated barrel. The rifle's accuracy is impressive, averaging just under 2 inches for five-shot groups at 100 yards, with a two-stage trigger breaking at just under 6 lbs.
IWI opened its U.S. subsidiary in 2013, allowing it to import Israeli-made firearm components and assemble them into complete firearms with American-made parts. The Carmel is a testament to IWI's free-market approach, updating classic designs and introducing new ones like the Tavor TS12 shotgun and Masada pistol. The rifle has undergone various environmental tests, including mud, sand, water, and freezing temperatures, proving its durability and reliability.
The Carmel, priced at $1,799, offers a blend of modern features, durability, and accuracy that justifies its cost. It is a testament to IWI's commitment to innovation and quality in the firearms industry.
