Breakout Time ApproachesArthur Hayes, the infamous co-founder of BitMEX, is back with new predictions for the crypto market, priming Bitcoin and altcoins for a potential 2022-style breakout amid fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD).
In a recent interview with Ran Neuner on Crypto Banter, Hayes dropped some choice words, stating that "the monetary authorities can't handle this shit, so they're gonna resort to money printing."
Heartening for risk assets, the crypto veteran points to a similar setup today as in 2022-2025, where we're engulfed in FUD, and monetary powers will once again resort to the green.
"April 9th was the bottom, and we're gonna go much higher from here."
Altcoins' Time to ShineWhile bitcoin stands at a whopping $94,030 as of this writing, falling 1.8% in the last 24 hours, Hayes sees an impending downward phase for the Bitcoin dominance (BTC.D) metric when it tags the 70% level. This would set the stage for altcoins to take the spotlight.
"I think Bitcoin dominance goes to 70%-ish. Bitcoin goes to the $150,000 level, something around there. And then we start to get the rotation into altcoins."
Get ready for altcoins to see unparalleled gains as Bitcoin dominance dips, potentially culminating in up to 50 times the current value.
